Ruth Bader Ginsburg Deserves Better

Hold the presses for this hot news! The awards dedicated to the memory of the late Supreme Court Justice … remembered from the days when the Supremes were not just a tool for Dirty Don … go to ……..

(Please hold your applause until the end.)

Elon Musk

Martha Stewart

Michael Milken

Rupert Murdoch

Sylvester Stallone

These  “five iconic individuals” will receive the Ginsburg Leadership Award next month at the Library of Congress in an exclusive ceremony and gala.

(You may applaud now.)

Gaaaakkkkk !!!!

Musk is being awarded for championing free speech … for right wing cheerleaders but not for anyone criticizing Elon Musk. His most recent headline is canceling an interview with journalist Don Lemon and firing him from his personal megaphone, the media site that used to be called Twitter as soon as the subject changed to Musk’s personal leadership issues.

A quote from Lemon about it, “Maybe we’re learning that a public square should not be privately owned by someone who doesn’t think that there should be any moderation on that platform.”

Michael Milken made his billions as a junk bond dealer (high risk, high reward). But he is best known for pleading guilty to federal fraud charges. He pleaded guilty to reduce the original racketeering and securities fraud charges resulting from an insider trading investigation. And … surprise, surprise … he was pardoned by President Dirty Don.

Martha Stewart was also sent to prison for insider trading. Maybe that is the real achievement that the honorees were selected for!

Rupert Murdoch, the Australian carpetbagger, made his billions at Faux News … and other newspapers. He narrowly escaped being charged in a phone and website hacking scandal in Britain. Testifying under oath in the Dominion lawsuit, Murdoch said he knew that Faux News was broadcasting lies about the elections, but he decided to do nothing about it. Now, THAT’S leadership!

The less said about Sylvester Stallone, the better. But I liked his movie Rambo III where he fought on the side of the Taliban in Afghanistan. He was for them before he was against them.

The family of RBG is outraged by these peopled being honored in the name of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. But the foundation controlling the award – the Dwight D. Opperman Foundation – hasn’t responded yet.

Be careful when you die. People can say anything at all about you then.
